If I am gone,
Don’t look for me in corners of moments we shared
Don’t long to find me reaching out to your outstretched arms and embracing you with a warm hug
I won’t be there.

If I am gone,
Don’t wish to see me smile when you turn around
Don’t hope to find me with my usual poker face “I can read you” smile
I won’t be there.

If I am gone,
Don’t regret the moments you chose not to cheer for me
Don’t ever ask for one more moment to make it up for those you chose to turn your back on me
It won’t happen again.

If I am gone,
Don’t look for me, let me stay gone.
I had my chance,
You had yours.

I am made of good chunks as I am composed of bad ones..
Pieces and moments that we both took for granted.
Now gone.

Don’t speak kind words I won’t hear no more
Don’t whisper l love you’s I won’t feel anymore

I was once there, warm, alive, laughing, crying, breaking, reaching out to you for comfort.
But on deaf ears, on blind eyes
